Idaho trip, cookies and a messy basement

We visited Kevin's family in Idaho for the long weekend. Here is Saydria with a couple of her cousins, Jensyn and Shaeleigh. They always have a fun time together.

These are some cookies I made for a cookie exchange I hosted earlier in the week. I hadn't made them in a long time, so they were due.

Cole, Saydria and Kai hanging out with some cows. Kai kept acting like he was going to karate chop them and scare them. He was feeling pretty manly for a 6 year old.

On our way home, we stopped at the gorge. Kevin and I hadn't stopped here since we were newlyweds. We all walked across the bridge and after my palms stopped sweating, we played at the park and hit the road. Kai kept comparing it to the Grand Canyon. It was cute.

This is what happened the day after we got home. We are finishing a room in our basement. It's a pretty big room (@600 sq. ft.) so we are dividing it into 2 rooms: and also a little fun room under the stairs for kids. The guy is coming today to do the finish work. It will be nice to have it all done!!

Jazz Cheerleader

Okay, so not officially a Jazz cheerleader, but I was enjoying the game enough. :) We got a couple tix from Dave Robison, of Utah Dave since he had a family event, he gave us his season tickets for the evening. The 1st quarter of the Jazz/Oklahoma game was great, and then Jazz started losing and it was mostly fun to make noise when possible. Since we were just behind the basket, they passed out all the "air swords" as our kids have dubbed them, and we got to bang them together to make lots of noise. Yep, I'm a new fan, I guess that's what you do when you move to Utah.
