After we fished...

Here's how bad the kids wanted to drive the golf cart around the yard...they used Clorox wipes to clean it spic and span. They had it sparkling white!
Kai sitting on Megan's lap and Cole sitting on Brayden's lap...Kai is taking everyone for a ride. This is Saydria's friend Bailey in back with her. They loved the way the grass was tickling their feet as they rode there.
Here's Brayden driving now and I could hear Saydria saying over and over again..."Brayden, you are such a bad driver!" He didn't care, he just had fun driving.
After fishing and playing, we took an ice cream break at a local joint, and the kids are just silly here, right along with the silly faces on their ice cream.

Saturday fishin'

Here's our first fishing day of the warm weather! Everybody caught a ton of fish except yours truly. I cast and reel over and over and nothing, and Kevin stands in my same spot and on the first cast, he catches a fish. I'm just not a fisher. Saydria caught the first fish of the day, and here she is with Daddy with her first catch. This is at our friends' property, we just fish there a lot because they stock the pond, so it's easy for the kids to catch stuff.
Brayden and Kevin each caught a fish at the same time here!
Kai was content to cast and reel all day long on his own, but as soon as he'd catch a fish, he'd holler for help. Each time we got the fish off the hook for him, we tried to get him to put it back in the pond, but he refused. He did touch one fish with his finger before we sent it back, but that was all he cared to do. He just likes to cast and reel.
Cole had fun running around and exploring. He liked to look at the fish, but not touch. Mommy and Cole played on the swings and taking lots of drinks.

Another student of the quarter!

Saydria got student of the quarter for the 4th quarter from her school! She wanted very badly to get ice cream from one of her favorite ice cream shops in town, a family-run business that puts cute little candy faces on the ice cream cones for the kids. Since Grandpa Christensen flew in on Saturday, we waited until then so that he could join us for some treats.
Here is a fuzzy picture of Saydria accepting her award from some members of the schoolboard. They awarded all the high school, middle school and elementary school students before the Kindergarten, so it was a long wait, but still just as exciting for her. She enjoyed getting her picture taken with all the kids from the district afterwards. We are so happy for you, Saydria!!

Bouncin'

(Brandon, Michael and Brayden) Brayden's school had a fun night for families called "Bouncin' off the walls" and there were air jumpers set up throughout the gym that the kids could jump inside and have fun for a couple hours. These three boys are known as "the three amigos" in their homeroom class. He's good friends with both of these boys, they all play baseball together and they have all gotten student of the quarter each year and they are quite competitive academically.
Kai had a blast at bouncin' and he was doing a little dance and singing to me here and I wish that I had filmed it!

Double

Here's a shot of Brayden at a game recently. I didn't really get a good shot of him hitting the ball, but I'm hoping to get better shots of him in action. I was standing next to one of the other mom's and she's the one doing all the talking...I moved to the other end of the field later to film him, but I missed the hit and it was a good one, a fly out to the grass, but it still only got him to 2nd, because he hit it straight to center field. Anyway, here you go!

Piggyback

Saydria giving Kai a piggyback ride in the van. She was so impressed that she could hold him up and he was just thrilled to be getting a ride! We were just about done at Brayden's baseball game and waiting for him to hop in the car.

Kindergarten musical

Saydria's class is in yellow, and she is in the front row, the first of the yellow shirted girls. It was a really cute performance and my flash apparently isn't very powerful, but I just video taped the entire program and took a few more pictures after the program of Saydria with her little friends. There are about 200 kids in the morning classes and 200 in the afternoon classes. I think I could only squeeze in half of the kids here, but they looked really cool with each class in different colors. (Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink)
Saydria with her friend Carrie. We live just a few minutes from each other and so this makes for a fun friend!
Saydria and Matthew played t-ball together last year. We still see their family at the ball field and they love to play together.
Saydria with Matthew and Gage, both boys were on her t-ball team last year. She is doing gymnastics this year.

BBQ with friends

We had a fun BBQ and dessert fest at our friends house and after the rain decided to pass, we had a really fun egg hunt! The 9 children in attendance searched high and low for eggs all over the yard and all 130-ish eggs were accounted for in the end. Cole is seen here with an egg in each hand and he has just spotted another! He had a good time shaking them in his hands, but once he discovered candy was inside each egg, he was so very excited!!

Here is Kai filling his bag with eggs...
Saydria finished counting her eggs and keeping them close to her. She found a couple eggs that were different colored than some of the rest and found herself getting attached to them...
Brayden is starting to fill his bag...
This is Chelsea! The party was at her place. She was our babysitter for a few years and then she moved to Utah to attend BYU. She is back for just a little while this summer, but we are enjoying her as much as we can. Here she is impressing my children with her skills... :)
