Girls day out!

Saydria and I went to see "Enchanted" with her friends Pyper and Elle and their mom, Meghan (who, thankfully, is my friend!) It was a fun time for us and Saydria loves me to tell her the story over and over! We had the book before we saw the movie, so it was really fun to see it all come to life for her.

Not quite perfection...

This is what Kai and I did a couple times a week from Halloween to New Year's, during Cole's nap time. We experimented with different apples and different crust recipes, so you'd think that I would have the crust-making down to an art, but as you can see from the photo, that is far from reality. I've also talked myself into believing that if you add more apples and leave the amount of sugar the same, it could possibly be better for you, I'd venture to say, it's healthy. :)

1st snow day

I've not seen my kids so excited to jump on the trampoline in the winter before...as soon as we had some snow, they were just so ready to jump on the tramp! No worries, they did get their fort building, snowman making and sledding in. Kai face planted first thing on the tramp and just when I thought I was going to have to take him in to warm him up, he just laughed and laughed and thought he was the funniest little thing!

Warm January

This was taken on January 7, 2008...it was like Spring again so Kai wanted to show Cole how to drive his monster truck. They both had a fun time riding all over the back yard, I was just in their way trying to take pictures!

I can't dance!

This is Kevin and me doing the "Dance Dance Revolution" at Dale and Meghan's place for New Year's Eve. I was thinking that I would do alright, but our final scores told otherwise. Maybe I need to eat red vines as I dance like Kevin did.

K-A-I...Kai!

Kai is warming up after a couple rounds of skating. He took more breaks than anybody because he had a nice warm pretzel with cheese waiting for him on a plate. He would decide that he needed to go back to it after a few rounds of skating. Kai was enjoying himself though as he kept pressing his face against the glass here.

Ice skating

We've gone ice skating a couple times and have just decided that Saydria is a natural on skates. She really enjoys it and Kevin and I were talking about getting her on a little ice skating team and when we told her about it, she said, "I don't need lessons, I already know how to skate." Then, I explained to her that she could learn how to do spins and all kinds of fun things, then she replied, "I already know how! I don't need lessons!" Fine.

Time flies

My kids are growing so quickly! I still remember when Brayden was the baby in the picture and here he is, hanging out with our baby and helping out so much, he's turning into this young man right before my eyes. This was taken after lunch, just before church. Cole is 10 months here.
