New Years Pics!!!

Our family...where it all started...SLC Temple. :) (Notice how my vacation-induced-scruff-clad husband had to lift kai up to get him in the picture?!)
The kids...Amber, Saydria, Kai (just his eyes!), Jake, Brayden, David (on Brayden's back), and Luke! This was at the museum.

Me and my sister Heidi.

We spent a few days in the Salt Lake City area with my sister Heidi and her family and my parents and we also got to see my older brother Ray and his family for a little bit. I've been trying to attach the pictures, but it keeps telling me there's a connection issue, so I'll keep trying!! I actually didn't take many pictures until it was time to go, but I did get a few from when we went around temple square and also to the church history museum.
My kids just had a great time seeing all their cousins. The boys had fun playing video games and running around with light sabers and doing the Rip Stick in the street. Kai had fun with his cousin Luke! They just played their own little games and had a great time being together. Saydria loved being with Amber and doing the girl thing. It had been about 2 years since we had seen them, so it was fun!!

Congratulations to Brayden!!

Brayden was recently selected to be a part of the National Young Leaders Program which will be held this summer 2009. He was recognized as "a special student who, even at his young age, demonstrates natural leadership potential and possesses the high level of maturity and strength of character that are the marks of a successful future leader...putting Brayden among a very prestigious group nationwide." We are happy for him and very proud of him!!

More Christmas pics

There are only a few of you who can truly appreciate this picture of Kai. He loves "green dollars" as he affectionately calls them. He always wants to make them. One night when Kevin and I were visiting Aunt Carol and cousin Cliff, Kai made this gingerbread house with Grandma and he was very excited about having a "green dollar" on his house.
Brayden, Kevin and Stephanie. Brayden got to come with the adults to do some real sledding while the kids stayed back at the cabin with Grandpa, Grandma and Aunt Jody and rode the kid sled. It was a fun day. This is a frozen lake behind us and normally there are tracks on it and it's a lot of fun, but we didn't chance it since there weren't tracks or sleds on it.

Jen (sister in law) and me in the hot tub at the cabin. This is all but the two oldest and two youngest kids. We slowly sent the kids out with their respective parents, and Jen and I managed to sneak 2 hours in each night sans kids. We just didn't want to get cold!

This is Saydria driving the sled on her own...kinda. I had the pull key so in case she drove off the path it would stop. She needed it. On the way down the hill she was all over the joint.

Christmas in Idaho

Kevin rockin' his heart out at Jody and Kieth's house. We spent Christmas Eve at their place with all 11 kids and Jody (Kev's youngest sister) had to have surgery, poor thing! Kev's sister Jen is behind him and Jody is under the blanket. We headed to McCall on Christmas day and stayed at the cabin for a couple nights...pictures to come of that later.
Saydria with her cousins Shaeleigh and Jensyn. They had so much fun together, as you can see. :) I caught them playing dress up in the basement and being all kinds of girly!
Brayden with his little cousin Merek. He reminded me of when Brayden was a baby. Quiet and very smiley! He's a sweet little baby and my kids loved holding him and giving him their full attention.
Kai helping feed cows in one of Grandpa Christensen's fields. We fed cows in 3 fields that day. I only went one day to "help out" er, take pictures. :)
Cole is in heaven because he got to sit on Kevin's lap while we were in the field rather than be in his carseat. I just love his cute little smile!
We also visited UT, so I'll post pictures of all that later. We hope everyone had a really nice Christmas and a fun New Year! My Christmas cards arrived in the mail the day we left for Idaho and I wasn't in the mailing mood while we were out there, so I'm slowly getting some out as of now! And, I didn't order as many as I think I needed, so I might have to draw stick figures of our family on construction paper for those of you towards the end of my address book. :)
