Here's a bit of what's been going on...
Kevin turned 36.
I went on an overnight field trip with Saydria for her 5th grade Clear Creek trip. It rocked.
Spent Easter with cousins in Las Vegas. Not everyone is pictured. Brayden and the baby boy (Paxon) are missing. Starting from left: Cole, Merek, Shaeleigh, Kai, Jensyn, and Saydria.
Got to spend an evening with Jessica and Lemuel Badillo and their 4 beautiful kids. We have been friends since our BYU-Hawaii days. They live close by to where we were staying in San Diego, so they visited us at our cabin and had dinner with us. Afterwards, we got a fire going in the firepit and had s'mores.
Spent a couple days at Sea World. Loved it. It had been too long since we were there, that only 2 of our kids had been there and they barely remembered it.
Cole loved getting splashed by Shamu. He insisted that we sit in the soak zone and that he wanted to be even closer than the rest of us, so he sat one row in front of us.
On Shipwreck Rapids. We got soaked from the start!
Kevin just looks awesome all soaking wet. Me, not so much. We actually left so that I could change and then we went back to the park. What a good man to take such good care of me. :)
Kai loved Manta, the ride. We took turns going on it with him.
One day we spent at Coronado Island before going back to Sea World. We loved playing on the beach and finding cool stuff in the tide pools. Mostly crabs.
Cole flexing his muscles for this picture. So hilarious! I love to take pictures of my kids just doing their thing, so here it is!
Brayden and Kai found some sea kelp and were whipping each other with it trying to lasso each others ankles. It was hilarious to watch them and they were having so much fun!
Kai enjoying getting tossed in the pool by Brayden. I'm not sure who was getting more gratification out of it, but I know they both liked it.
Me with Cole and Saydria on this ridiculous caterpillar ride at Sea World. The kids rides always make me feel dizzy. We all got dippin' dots afterwards to help mommy feel better. :)
Cole snuggling in Daddy's jacket before the evening show of Shamu. We had to wait about a half hour and it was getting pretty chilly actually.
At Kevin's sister's house in Las Vegas. We were just leaving their neighborhood pool and I wanted a picture of us. :) He loves growing out his hair on vacations. After almost 15 years of marriage you'd think that I would get used to it. It's so itchy!!
I took this picture of Kevin as he and Dan (bro in law) were talking by the pool. I love this picture of him.
In Mesquite, Nevada we saw Kai and Amy Davis, our friends from Hawaii days also. The kids mainly roller bladed and rode scooters in the church parking lot that's across the street from their home.
Kai wanted to roller blade in costume. It didn't last long since he got hot. It's Mesquite!!
Brayden listening to General Conference and snuggling with Kai and Amy's dog. Their dog loved him, almost as much as our dog loves him!
Getting ready to leave Kai and Amy's. Saying good-bye until we meet again!
Kevin and Kai
Saydria's 5th grade class performed in the Hope of America program that they do each year here. Although, they were bummed that they didn't do it at the BYU Marriott Center this year because of all the traffic it's caused in the past. Too many parents complained, I think. It was still very nice!!
Here she is for one of the songs. They had a few kids come down and lead the sign language.
Our latest project. I'll post finished pictures. This is Cole sanding it! It's a new dining table. I've been wanting to get a new one but couldn't find one with the right dimensions for our eating area, so Kevin built me one. I'm loving it so far. I also think I want to do a colored stain, so I'm still deciding. Tomorrow will hopefully be a staining day for me!
