No, we are not expecting a baby. We are just taking care of some lovely little children that belong to our friends who are on a week-long cruise. Over the weekend, Kevin's sister and her family visited from Vegas and so here's what kept us busy (or them busy...) Shaeleigh is playing with playdough...notice she's got jewelry on? yeah, Aunt Stephanie made her some pretty pretty to wear home on Sunday.
Girls just wanna have fun! Saydria and her cousins were pretty much doing this a lot...dressing up in Saydria's dresses and doing hair and nails. Our home smelled so pretty the whole time, like a certain body spray, but I can't put my finger on it. Probably because it was a mix of aromas.
Kai's new obsession is volcanoes. He made several over the weekend. We exploded them outside. He has been asking for baking soda and vinegar for his birthday in May for any of you wondering....
This is dear little Wynter. She's been featured on here in the past. It's been a lot of fun having her around. Also, she used to be scared of our dog, but now she chases him around the house like she's the boss, so it's pretty cute.
This is one of Wynter's brothers, Kanyon. He and Kai are having fun making books and reading together. It's joy for these boys.
And dogpiling. They just think it's so hilarious! Kanyon, Kai, Cole, Kayman and cousin Merek. Such good boys!!
This is Dioji's new favorite spot in the house. He tasted waffles at breakfast and it was game over.
The day after I posted about the no-snow-winter etc., we got a bit of snow that night. Needless to say, we jumped on it and went sledding right away because the sun shines so brightly here, it's gone before you know it. And it was!
On Saturday night, we celebrated Shaeleigh's 7th birthday! She got a pair of cute pants for sure! Her mom Jen, made this yummo cake for her and the kids couldn't wait to eat it!

This and That!
Dioji and Cole enjoying the most snow we've had all winter. I can't believe how mild it's been and I'm not complaining!! Dioji kept racing Cole down the hill in our backyard. It was so cute and Cole was loving it!
This is what happens to Dioji after playing in the snow. He's banished to his bed until it melts off. Poor, spoiled rotten yet very well trained puppy. We love him.
Cole had his shots to get ready for Kindergarten! He was thrilled to have it done, it was hilarious! He put his arm out and the nurse said, "He doesn't even know what he's in for." I told her he was just very excited. After she finished with one arm, he held out the next. She couldn't believe it. I was laughing. After she was done he said, "That was fun. I want more." He just started milking it to impress her I think.
My friend MeLisa celebrated her birthday in style by throwing herself a "cupcake wars" party. We had to draw a number to find out what team we were on (there were 3 teams) and then we each drew a number for our secret ingredients. My team had the best ingredients that included: cayenne pepper, chocolate chips, crushed pineapple and graham crackers. They were everyone's favorite, except for our judge, who was MeLisa's husband DJ. He liked the nastiest cupcakes the best.
The nasty ones were beyond gross. None of us girls could even swallow the 1 bite we took from the cupcake. They used applesauce/oatmeal babyfood, lemon, old hot fudge sauce (and we are pretty sure that was the problem) and Spicy Asian sauce. They were gross.
I made Valentine cookies forever one day, it made a ton. We took them to a million people. I never took a picture of the finished product. I've used this recipe for years, it's a sugar cookie recipe with sour cream in it that makes them really soft. I ate too many.
Brayden had a Valentine's dance at school with all of his grade. He is dancing with the girl in blue, her name is Tori. He didn't know I was there until the end. Cole and I had gone to the kids' class parties that day and we popped into their dance. (Parents were invited, it was during school hours.) They had the kids partner up and learn actual dances, so it was pretty cool.
Saydria turned 10!! She had a fun little party at our home. She wanted no bakes and ice cream instead of a cake, although she did go down memory lane and talk about the cute My Little Pony cake that my friend Tiffany made for her a few years ago. :( Also, do you like all the balloons I strung out? Yeah, that's ALL my hot air, people.
Brayden was showing us science experiments the other day. This one is cool, especially if you like fire. You stick a toothpick between 2 forks and then balance the toothpick on the edge of a glass. Then, you light the toothpick on fire and it will burn until it hits the edge of the glass and go out on its own. However, that's when the cool part reveals itself! The toothpick is balancing the forks right on the edge of the glass. Pretty cool!
We had Tres Leches Cupcakes after dinner last night, Kai was in charge of the strawberries. :) They are my new favorite treat for the week. Thank you, Our Best Bites.
